Important Information

My son came home today and informed me of this: "Paper clips are the larval form of coat hangers."

Candy Corn

This is a candy corn I made for the September project at the amigurumi group on yahoo. Sorry for the bad pic but I had to take it with my phone. I have no idea where I put the camera. LOL Anyway, it was really easy to make and we watched Knocked Up while I did it. So at least I wasn't bored LOL.

Bobo and Jim

Bobo was a circus trained monkey before his tragic toxic waste accident. This horrible incident turned him a lovely shade of turquoise. He spends his life trying to track down his circus master, Jim, who mysteriously disappeared after the accident.

Jim managed the Big Top Circus. He was quite prosperous until a tragic accident befell his star monkey. Jim used the insurance money to move to a deserted island with the bearded lady and a few trapeze artists.

Secret Keepers Pattern

These are super simple and quick guys to make. Please let me know if the pattern isn't easy to read. I have never tried to put a pattern out for others to follow so I am just giving you my notes. All of my projects are worked the usual way with increases and decreases. And don't join the rounds as you go just work in a spiral. The one secret keeper is slightly larger because I used a different size hook and bigger yarn. All I added to them was the eyeballs (the small ones have doll eyes and the bigger one has two different sized buttons.) but Ithink they would look cute with big ears.

R1: sc 6 into a circle (6). R2: INC (12). R3: Sc 1, INC (18). R4: Sc 2, INC (24). R5: Sc 3, INC (30). R6: Sc 4, INC. (36). R7: Sc 4, DEC. (30). R8: Sc 3, DEC (24). R9: Sc 2, DEC (18). R10: Sc 1, DEC (12). R11: DEC (6).

Quug and Schnoober

Quug is a creature sent from the fifth dimension to destroy all humans. But he had a change of heart when he discovered casinos, air mattresses and sneakers. Any place that could invent stuff like this can’t be all bad. Quug is looking for a roommate and hopes to settle down here on Earth.

Schnoober is Quug’s sister. She is a creature from the fifth dimension. She communicates with her brother using telepathy. Her stringy hair is actually a high tech tuning device. Schnoober just wants her brother to come home and play hopscotch with her.

Secret Keepers

Big Head, Hubert and Noodles are the Secret Keepers of Hyperbolia. They are entrusted to the sacred duty of keeping secrets. They know everyone’s bad habits and crushes. The Secret Keepers know all the wrongs that have been done. But you will never learn anything from them for they have no mouths.

Ebenezer

Ebenezer is a miser. He is the richest guy in Hyperbolia, yet he won’t share his pearls with anyone. He considered using them to make a necklace for Sally until he found out about her love for Albert. He is heart broken and alone. Sigh.

Patrice

Patrice loves to play Sonic on GameCube. Her friends call her “PuffMama”. Patrice’s best friend is Sally (the limbless bunny). They love to do lunch and spend the afternoon gossiping about Sally’s crush on Albert.

Sally

Sally hops from place to place. She is amazingly spry for a bunny with no legs (or arms for that matter). Sally is madly in love with Albert Yamashifufski and wishes all the cookies he steals were for her. His pastry snaggin’ powers simply intoxicate her.

Stealin' the Cookies

Albert Yamashifufski

Albert Yamashifufski is a CPA by day and a cookie stealin’ ninja by night. He stealthily stalks the kitchen to find delectable cookies to share with his friend, Charles. Albert likes the mushy cookies. Give him chocolate chunks and he’s a happy guy.

Charles

This is Charles, my first amigurumi friend. I found a pattern for him on the web but I didn't bookmark the site. So if you know where I got him please leave me a link so I can give proper credit.

Charles is a resident of Hyperbolia. He is an easy goin’ monkey who loves to eat cookies. Charles also loves to read Harry Potter books and wishes he could be a wizard too. He lounges in his hammock whenever he has spare time. Charles is best friends with Albert Yamashifufski, his faithful cookie stealin’ companion.

hyperbolia

Hyperbolia is a small town nestled in the damp, dark recesses of my brain. It was discovered by my son when we began to name the little ami friends I have made. After they had names we needed to know more about them of course. Soon an entire town came into existence. Before we knew it, the critters had a life of their own, jobs, friends, even a little mystery. Read along to find out more about the residents and their lives.
